The production and sale of yarns and fabrics has been the pre-eminent and typical activity of the Prato area for years.
The number of companies in this sector has been considerably reduced both due to changing market demands and the entry of fast fashion activities more oriented towards products of different quality.
Those that remained have “survived” by orienting themselves and/or specializing towards productions with particular qualitative and technical requirements:
– high quality and valuable fabrics and fabrics, which are generally commonly defined/indicated generically as niche products, which are dedicated and requested in particular by women’s clothing and high fashion;
– particular fabrics, the result of cutting-edge technologies, intended for use and the creation of technical products;
– fabrics for industrial uses.
